Arrived at the Serpent Mound around midday. They suggest you visit early morning or late afternoon when the shadows are longer but today with no sun shining through, it made no difference what time. It was cold and the wind had some bite to it. Thank goodness for my trusty polar fleece and rain jacket. It does the trick. What a good buy it was from Aldi.
