Up before the crack if dawn...4am to be exact. 21 minutes later we were on the road! Yay! No one slept in the car, boo. By 6:30 we were in Iowa. Coolest rest stop ever. Not only was it in a barn, there were two tiny barns upstairs. I would like to take a moment to wish my Nona a very happy birthday, we love you and are thinking about you! Cedar Rapids, I liked the look of you. We had a quick stop in Hannibal, MO. We ...

and many stories have been focused.

Thoughts of Huckleberry Finn and the “mighty Mississippi” flood my mind. And we are
the ONLY passengers. How fun and how exhilarating. We are both fascinated. Only 20 minutes and $28 each way. But, ...

FAST and FURIOUS Just What the Heck State AM I in ???

        ARKANSAS . . . SIKESTON, MO . . . TENNESSEE

It's that funny little foot-shaped area of Missouri that causes confusion to some of us who are unfamiliar with the area. Now, why couldn't the "state-makers" have made all of the states nicely shaped like the state of Washington - rectangular ? ! I know, natural boundaries - rivers, etc

Being in and out and ...
