Day 6 back on the road
Salina to Mount Vernon, Illinois was a particularly un-newsworthy day. I looked like we’ve used a little bit of oil – that’s not very exciting and I’m not sure what to think of it. I could also provide the intimate detail of how we load the car each day, but perhaps I’ll save that bore …
Arrived early and got our pick of sites. We got this one right on the lake. At dusk, the family of skunks would come out to enjoy the fallen crab apples on the tree in our site. The sunsets were gorgeous! We met Puff the Purple Dragon on the beach! Loved the water tower.
... breeze and the sunshine while some folks are playing volleyball where the tent had been yesterday. I'm going to get some sewing projects done today and we're going to watch movies and/or Ripper Street the rest of the time.

... though I did have to deflect some questions about whether or not we were that circus from several years ago. I think if they have us back next year it’ll be better because word of mouth from the show today will help. Folks were very complimentary and said they had a wonderful time.
