Arrived yesterday afternoon after a six hour drive. On our way we drove through four different states: Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri. We were very blessed to have a friend in St Louis put us up in a nice hotel right near the highway. He also took us out for dinner and walk around a nearby park. ... flat agricultural land 2. Lots of flat scrub grass (dessert like) land 3. Oodles of independent oil wells scattered about (both in the middle of the Ag land and the scrub land). Oh ! And me along with about 5 other vehicles for a 125 miles. Got love them Texans though only in Texas and Wyoming do they have 2 lane roads with 75 mile hour speed limits. SouthEast New Mexico is about the same except no Ag land just scrub and drill rigs. Made ...

Lauren said she saw the first fire flies of the year here at the campground. Kristine grabbed some glass jars and lids and off they went hunting. Unfortunately they were not successful in capturing any, but I am sure it was a good time.
