Our stay in Denver was basically three days of visiting Janet's other sister and her family. We have visited Denver frequently, so our stay was primarily visiting with family. We spent a day up at Ft. Collins with a niece and nephew who are attending CSU and working respectively, and we spent a day doing touristy things in Colorado Springs, …

    Hotel sucked

This was the worst Drury Inn I've used. Safety issues, gross room, crappy breakfast, and I nicely complained about it. I got all my money back ($137).

    Excellent Value

    from EnglandTourist

I recently stayed at The Drury for two nights before embarking on a road trip. The location was OK; not the plushest of areas, but I felt safe enough. Initially I was allocated a room next to the vending/ice machine and could hear the buzz of the machinery through the wall. I was moved to another room without fuss.

The breakfast is more than adequate and the freebie nibbles/drinks in the evening were appreciated. The room was clean and quiet, albeit a little way out from the centre of town.

I wouldn't say this hotel is luxurious, but for the price you can't go wrong.

Perfect stay - great value for money

    from JohnDougall

I stay in hotels about 150 nights per year (for the last 15 years) - usually with my company paying for 5 star! Lots of 5 star properties have been worse than the Drury Inn. I chose it for its proximity to Denver Airport and found it easily - also because it offered free broadband. It also provided free soft drinks in the room and lobby, free popcorn in both room and lobby and an excellent free breakfast. Yes, the freebies helped as I was paying for this trip - but even on the company's ticket, I would really have valued the class and convenience of what the Drury offered.

    The Dreary Inn

A friend and I stayed here based on earlier TripAdvisor reviews, while in town for the Denver Grand Prix. I agree with the July 29 poster that the hotel is not a great choice for the Denver area, as it is far (15-30 minutes by car) from most area attractions, is in an area with very few restaurants and other services a traveller would need, and is simply "ok." The high point might be three free drinks per night (including moderate quality wines and hard liquor) at the manager's reception -- although the only edibles were chips/pretzels/etc.. Breakfast was ok for one morning, but no great shakes. My friend pointed out the prairie dogs in the field right next to the hotel -- that is, the field between the hotel and abandoned strip club. That should seal the deal for most of you...

Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel!

    from tvent

Based on the positive reviews, I booked a night at this hotel for my family and myself. As others have indicated, the hotel is located in an industrial section of town. Although the hotel looked clean and the employees were relatively friendly, the clientele seemed "seedy" and the area felt unsafe. Upon check-in, my kids and I checked out the pool area, only to find a bunch of adults milling around the pool area and a couple engaged in near-sexual-intercourse in the pool. No way was I taking my kids swimming there, nor did I want to stay in the hotel. Accordingly, my wife and I went straight to the front desk and returned the keys.

If you are interested in staying in the Aurora area, I would highly recommend the Embassy Suites, which is located just one exit to the west of the Drury Inn. Although it's a little pricier than the Drury, it is much, much better.

Great hotel if you don't speak English!!

    from anonymous

    Good points:

Price was good, $83.00 per night for two double beds. Free breakfast and free evening drinks& snacks, One weekday night they put out pizza, salad & baked potato as a free snack so didn't have to go out for supper.

Hotel clean and fairly quiet. Village inn is right there for meals. Main desk friendly and helpful.

Pool is warm, hot tub hot!

    Bad points:

The location of this Drury isn't the best, not close to many eating places except to Village Inn & a short drive to McDonalds or Burger King.

Only one waffle iron for the whole hotel, breakfast was a mad rush to get to the waffle iron before anyone else or be prepared to w-a-i-t. The breakfast items run out fast, & the staff slow to reload. The scrambled eggs are not made with real eggs, they are VERY rubbery and pretty nasty (unless you are use to that)

Other than the front desk the staff doesn't speak English, so if you ask one of the breakfast staff for more utensils they will look at you strange and just grin big.

The pool wasn't that clean, globs of hair on the bottom. Take your own towels down, by mid-morning all the towels were used at the pool and not replaced with clean towels.

Would I stay at this Drury Inn again?...NO. We love Drury Inn's but this one was not up to the usual standard :(

    Good value

Always good hotels. A very good value. The only draw back is the location.

    Outstanding value

Secure parking, pleasant staff, clean everywhere (including the entries and elevators), nicely appointed rooms and free drinks in the afternoon. Most places in this price range don't offer half as much!

Drury Inn - Great Family Hotel

    from Missyd38

This hotel was a great deal for the money. It was quiet, clean, the beds were soft. Breakfast was included and cocktails with snacks in the evening. The food was not the greatest, but still we enjoyed our stay. The pool was indoor/outdoor - which my daughter loved, even when it was snowing. I would recommend this hotel.

    Great Happy Hour

    from anonymous

Nice clean place. Loved the facilities. Great happy hour free drinks.

Negative - too far from downtown

Drury not dreary but for the wayward and weary

    from anonymous

I travel. Revelation that was. However, I don't sleep. Loud noises. Maids-a-cleanin. Crazy happenings. Yet, with the Drury all things are possible. Three free coctails, and a fluffy pillow make sleep at least a pleasant thought. Bump in FREE high-speed net access and you get glazed over in quick form. That is what we need. A way to jaunt from the toils on the road. The drury has it.--druryinnguru.com==allthings drury.
