    ... ware to toiletries, etc. It had stuff that was overstock and the prices were unbelievable. I found a slotted spoon for the kitchen of the RV which I had discovered Sunday night was not there as well as a blouse I couldn't pass up. The bill was all of $7.55! Can't beat that!

    Beautiful morning with no humidity and a temperature of 74 degrees when we pulled out of the campground in Granite City. Almost immediately we crossed the Mississippi River and stopped for gas about a half hour later. Gas was only $3.18/gallon and we did find out that our credit card allows us to charge only a certain amount at a time. So far, we have not filled the tank totally but get close.

    ... day...right? he replied: "well...they've all closed...I hear horror stories..I wouldn't eat here if I were you...I'd go somewhere else". Hmmm. So...I did. The next time I pulled off and drove down the street...I saw the most interesting and beautiful small brick homes!     An exploration day of San Diego and its surrounding areas. We drove alongside the beautiful harbour to the Gaslamp Quarter, where we struggled to find a cheap parking space and we were 'moved on' by the police at one point. Finally parked up, we noticed plenty of restaurants and bars and not much else. Therefore we perched upon some stalls in a bar and watched the cracking Holland v Spain game where Holland spanked Spain 5-1. Onwards to Coronado Island ...
