Nice hotel, not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. But it was a good price, had free wi-fi, free breakfast, we could park our car for the duration of our trip, and there's a shuttle to the airport.

... through the crowds with the rest of us following behind. We snaked our way back to the apartment via numerous shops and malls before arriving as darkness descended over Chicago for another day - around 4.30pm. Chris, assisted by anyone who ventured into the kitchen, cooked up an Indian feast for dinner, filling the apartment and surrounding corridors of the apartment block with exotic aromas. The curries were enjoyed along with the obligatory glass of ...

... another young girl, and the two seats between us are 2 of 4 open seats on the plane. Lucky us! We get to stretch out and sleep! Which is what I did the first three hours. Then Ms. 58D woke me up for food! Her name is Alicia Moore. She is from Georgia and is going to teach for Disney English too! We are VERY similar (go figure) and have spent the last two hours chatting about our obsession with teaching, and children, and Disney, and food, and movies, and pretty much ...

... explore the rest of the city before we had to catch our flight back to NY. We started by trying again to get up to the Signature Lounge of the Hancock Tower. This time we were in luck and walked straight into the lift to take us up to the 96th floor. The views of the city up there were amazing and we were so pleased we had managed to get up there before going back to NY. Unlike New York most of the buildings in Chicago are ...

    The Long Day of Flying

We left our house around 2pm to go to the airport; everyone was in good spirits and surprisingly on time and together. The first plane ride to Chicago was only about an hour and a half, but it seemed longer because we were on a TINY plane. Wow, do I not like claustrophobic planes...anyways we made it to Chicago in due time and met ...

After our epic 24 hour train journey we finally arrived in Chi-ca-geeeeee! We then had to grab another train out of the city to Erin & Kathy's house in Naperville. We arrived to the best welcome ever, including a cute little note telling us to make ourselves at home! Erin had made us Cake Pops and Kathy had brought us English tea and some our favourite things to eat! Their house was totally American and amazing, are room was super comfy and the shower room was too posh to ...
