Off to Manchester after supper to be next to the airport for the early morning flight! Need to check in at 6.40 am (sigh)... But very excited to get on the way! Hoping for an upgrade due to it being my birthday (10th feb), however, will be very surprised if i get one! Fingers crossed. Etihad flight to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi ...

Today sees us leaving Witton Gilbert with Passports! Vicky took us to Durham Station and then we caught the train and bus to Manchester Airport! The whole journey went very smoothly, with the exception of lugging large cases up and down stairs at York but hey ho! Very early in Airport - 1hr before gate opened. Looking forward to being frisked by Si but he's in Teneriffe! Both well and now waiting for Gate to open and signing off for next ...

... to us in his massive trailer tent pops out to see if things are okay, he got some water in and is surprised we are okay although he did say the design of our tent is what they use to climb mount Everest.We go back to the kitchen and all the youngsters tents have been flooded. Water is streaming into the kitchen, we have to turn the lights off. The relief manager comes over to let us know that they are making the dryers available for free.
