On our way to Galveston we got caught in traffic so we opted for an adventure in the form of a detour. What a surprising view. The Gulf roughly lapping the shores; beautiful homes on stilts, pastel colors of beach community homes were easy on the eye. I wish more of them were caught in pictures. It was really fun to watch how this huge metal boat just kind of slips out to sea effortlessly and everything gets smaller and smaller until it disappears in the distance.
