... I just spent a few fantastic days!:) Along with the beach I did a little Europe prep. Well to say the least organizing all my stuff at midnight with the family all asleep in the pop up is quite the feat so I should probably add that to my resume. We are homeward bound after leaving Baltimore. Monday in Georgetown Yacht Basin on the Sassafras River - We started our trip there and wanted to return to this pretty place. Tuesday in Cape May at Utschs Marina after an 8 hour run down the C and D Canal and the boring Delaware Bay. A great day for our 117 nm run down the Jersey coast. I was impressed by the miles of white sandy beaches and numerous resorts like Ocean City and Wildwood. ... themselves off for a quiet couple of hours,resting, I spent mine on the beach ....Just had to get the flavour of the families enjoying 4th July, and they were!!!
Water warm enough for swimming and many playing beach games.

After another lovely gathering of our friends on the back terrace,and pre barbecue nibbles (eating too much), we enjoyed another barbecue cooked by chef Jorge, before the 6 of us ...

... Lightening started hitting the water all around us. Visibility was about 1/2 of a mile. If we hadn't had the radar and GPS, there's no way we would have made it into the marina safely.

We didn't take any photos on the water on the way to Cape May due to the weather. Here are a couple of photos after we arrived safely in the marina.
