It's been about 10 years since I last visited my aunt Heather and uncle Roger in Cape May. I arrived just before the start of the tourist season, so it was nice and quiet (but a little chillier than any of us liked!). We started out the day at George's for some amazing breakfast (french toast with lemon greek yogurt? Yes, please!) and meandered through the shops on Washington Street.

With the help of Google maps and Matt’s driving skills we managed to navigate our way from Brooklyn to our first stop – a little town called Irvington (north of the Bronx and Yonkers, and on the banks of the Hudson river). ... it shows everywhere. We saw almost no chains at all, not even Wal Marts. No billboards. The people were friendly and healthy looking. We saw almost no lawyer offices, doctor offices, hospitals, etc., and farms were everywhere. The scenery was spectacular and the covered bridges were amazing (Note Emily and Martin as well as the above mentioned).

We spent $1,627.49 on this trip going over our saved envelope amount by about $200. Not bad.

... my way back down to AC with Nick for Cody's bachelor weekend along with a bunch of Gups and we had another very entertaining weekend. Highlights included discovering a Jason Aldean/Florida-Georgia Line concert in town and getting tickets as well as an after-midnight dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe afterwards. All in all both trips were lots of fun and we all made a lot of memories ...
