... a concept which is so backwards for a 'civilised' and developed part of the World. We arrived to our hotel at about 11pm and headed to our 'twin' room and went straight to bed. The next morning we did a bit of research into Dubai and what we should do for the day. We were surprised to find out that over 70% of people living in Dubai are not native to the UAE, what a strange place, perhaps the first of which we wouldn't experience a clear culture. We ...

So first impressions of Dubai.. Love it. And can't wait to go back. What i really like is no matter how glam it gets and how many big western brands are there you can really see and feel the local culture. Definately my kind of place. And the lady taxis at the airport are a cute touch too.

... and we enjoyed the rest of the evening watching traditional dancing in an Arabic camp in the desert! Ben enjoyed the belly dancers and I even got up on stage to try a traditional twirling dance myself! :D Although I could only twirl for 10 seconds before feeling dizzy whilst the dancers have to do it for at least 5 minutes! On our last morning we packed up our cases and made our way to the airport for our last flight back to the UK! When we arrived at the gate the ...
