Dubai was a place that never appealed to us as a holiday destination but thought it was one of those need to see places so decided it would be the perfect stopover on route to Delhi. We allocated only two days so had to squeeze in as much as possible. As soon as we arrived off the pleasant Quantus flight we changed from our trekking boots to flip …

BUT one should never take such things for granted: Tonight I didn't even get onto my flight to Kuala Lumpur (I'm flying standby). For your shopping pleasure there is every brand name shop known in the world, if you are cashed up with Dirham you are good to go. We venture out the back of the mall to get a look at Burj building, it's very impressive. Take some holiday snaps and off we go. Into another taxi to take a scenic drive of Dubai and to take a quick look at the Burj Al Arab Hotel (7 stars) can't ...

    Connecting flight

... again we there were very few people waiting to board the plane, but it would be too good to be true that we could get good seating arrangements again. I had the window seat and Deena was right next to me. We sat hoping we would have the three seats to ourselves when low and behold the seat in front of us remained empty, a quick unbuckle of the seat belt Deena took over the row and we had our own seat ...
