... cats and visiting people interact, with refreshments). This sounded so bizarre when I first heard about the concept that I was sure it would be a memorable experience, but it turns out that cats are as aloof towards people when those people are paying to hang out with them as they are when no money changes hands. Lastly we went for dessert to a place (again, in Shinjuku Station, a.k.a., paradise) called the Takano Fruit Parlour. Enjoy the photos/captions!

Today was our last day in Disneyland. As sad as that was we were certainly going to make the best of it. Firstly we headed straight for Poohs Hunny Hunt fast passes to make sure we didn't miss out this time like we did on the first day. We then headed to Mickeys house to try and beat the crowd to get our photo with him. It took a while but it's always worth it to meet Mickey. We then tried to get a reservation for the Blue Bayou restaurant to ensure we didn't miss out but they ...

I had spaghetti bolognese this time which was quite nice but the pasta sticks I bought had an odd tasting salt on them, but you gotta try these things when on holiday. We then decided we wanted a really good spot for Fantasmic right in front so we stalked a good spot an hour and 45 minutes before the show and hung out there until it started. We got the standard refill of caramel popcorn and ...

... the aliens from Toy Story so we had to get them. Turns out the insides where chocolate, strawberry and custard and that they actually tasted pretty good. We then headed into Toon Town and went on Gadgets Go Coaster, into Chip n Dales Treehouse (which was quite small for us) and on the Rodger Rabbit Cartoon Spin ride. Having crossed off most of Toon Town from the list we then headed into Fantasyland where we had a go on Pinocchios Daring Adventure, The Mad Hatter Tea Cups, ...

    Rainy day in Tokyo

The reason for not using the last couple of days on my rail pass was that the weather was forecast to be lousy and I'd decided rainy days would best be spent in Tokyo. This was indeed the case but I'd forgotten most museums, galleries and the like are closed on Mondays so I'd have to find other ways to entertain myself. I started out with a visit to the Sensō-ji Temple, one of the top rated sights in Tokyo apparently. I guess I was spoilt in Kyoto. It was an average temple ...
