... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.

This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job.
If you want a pool, a breakfast with 3 miles and a runaway to put the car...this is not what you are looking for.

We left our hotel at around 10:45, sadly, knowing that this is our last transfer and the end of our holiday coming to close for comfort. We jumped on a train that we accidentally arrived for (the walk to the station was shorter than memory), which had no spare seats. From there we took a mile walk to Villa del Balbianello, built in the 1700's for a Cardinal's summer residence, since owned by several families and made famous in several movies, including Star Wars Episode 2.
