... was a lot of fun to talk to my tutor and his daughter. I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 10 on thursday. So I just got around, read my book, and stefania and I walked to the grandparents house again for lunch. It was delicious. After that Stefania, her friend, her boyfriend, and I all rode a bus and two subways into the centre of Milan. It was absolutely incredible. It is filled with antique architecture and tons of shops. We came home late so ...

... Tim loved the diving boards. We've had many delicious meals thanks to Holly. The other night we went for pizza and Tim ordered what he thought was salami, but turned out to be a salmon pizza ;0) A few more things are the caves that we toured around Porlezza, and then zip line experience yesterday! Quite a rush! Today we are off to a mini vacation to Cinque Terre, Lucca, and Florence. Oh yes- we also took a ferry from Mennagio to Bellagio! ...

This is where we stayed when we came with Kara and Kathlee, and also where I stayed with Dana 8 years ago - for old time sake, we decided to spend the afternoon there. The last ferry back was ...

... I took a water taxi there and what a sight approaching it by water! It has been donated to Italy with a trust to preserve it and it is gorgeous...on a wooded peninsula with fabulous views. The gardens ( vertical of course) were lovely with statues, flowers and verandas. I walked back through the forest on the property to Lenno and even that was a cool experience...very quiet, towering trees...you felt in another world. Since I knew I had to ...

We arrived by water ferry so had quite a good look at the towns and villas on the waters edge, plus we have seen quite a few spectacular palaces or chateaus on this trip already. We heard you could catch a bus back to Como, and it is faster than the ferry so opted for that instead. This left us with the day spare so Relle did some washing and we walked and climbed our way around this beautiful town. Away from the water it is quite ...
