... was outrageous, sooooo many trucks and of course everything travelling very quickly. It was most tiring for John as the driver. The closer we got to Milan the worse it got, anyway, we survived. Luckily the road basically bypasses Milan and we were soon in Como.
Well a shock we got! The lake is pretty but Como is a huge suburb of Milan really. In fact most of the lake has housing surrounding it, albeit rather flash housing :-). Arrived at ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. It's honestly stunning, the crown jewel of Milan.   The inside however wasn't as nearly good as ...

Milan was the first place I set foot in when I landed in Italy. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Although we were just there for two hours, that was enough for me to get a feel of the city. The people are all fashion forwarded. Although I knew Milan is the city of fashion I never expected everyone, and I mean everyone, to be dressed so nicely. From young to old, tall to short, everyone ...

A travel blog entry by bkmuir on Sep 05, 2014

... t bother. Had a nice gelato. Chocolate chip and nut. Only 2.50 euros. What a bargain ! Bought some tshirts and also a heart and blue murano glass pandora beads to remember Milan by. Back on metro for trip back to hotel. Didn't take long. Was back there about 3.00pm. Had a shower and a ice cold glass of Pepsi Max with some nibblies. Very nice although my last one. Oh dear! Then did some reading and had a nap. Woke up after about ...
