    Late checkin requested. Pretty sure my room had been sold! 30 mins to check in at 8 am

    ... lost friend when I walked through the door. Looking around I saw lots of things I thought I could buy. One of the assistants, Jessica, walked with me while I was looking, carried all the items I wanted to try and made suggestions about what to pair up.     ... excited that it’s almost here! We get one day/night and one night off per week so I won’t have daily access to the internet- as we don’t have wifi everywhere. I’m looking forward to switching off from technology and living the dream because let’s face it gong kayaking everyday for 10 weeks isn’t working hard!!

    ... pricey, our bottle of wine cost $80 (USD). We could see the Empire State and Manhattan bridge. I felt like Carrie Bradshaw. After the rooftop bar we went to a Brooklyn hot spot, a funky South African bar and had tasty cocktails.

    We ate twice, having Japanese teryaki chicken with rice and veg which had no sauce and was a great disappointment in my mind, then later we had a cereal bar and muffin for breakfast.
