Day 1 - Fly to Copenhagen (A night in Dragor)

Matt:
Flew from Edinburgh to Copenhagen. Spent the night in Dragor. Had a very expensive, but equally enjoyable meal at an Italian Restaurant that didn't serve pizza and only a couple of pasta dishes.

Amy:
- The hotel had a parrot in the lobby named 'Janus'.
- The meal was lamb with various vegetables and was divine.
- Our waitress, originally from Sweden had been in New Zealand for a few years and wanted to know all about Australia and she & her boyfriend hoped to...

Denmark,Copenhagen

Hi guys, well i flew from Malaga to Copenhagen on the 14th August and it was dry & sunny but only 20degrees! I stayed in a hostel which was the only one available and close to the airport where you could get a bus or a train into the city. I explored the city for 2 days once on foot & once on a bike, which is the done thing here! You can rent bikes for free from the city centre. Copenhagen is really expensive! I felt like a cider after 6hours of touring the city & it set me back 8nz....so i o...

We arrived in Copenhagen at about 8 a.m. (actually, there is no "about" on these ships, they are very precise with arrivals and departures), so it was exactly 8 a.m.  At 8:45 we got on a bus and headed into the city for a tour of some of the sites.  It was good weather - about 23 C and not too much wind, a few clouds.  Our first stop was to see The Little Mermaid, the famous statue that commemorates the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale.  Then we toured central Copenhagen and ...

Episode II, Roskilde

... than we ever imagined. Not just the nakedness, ******* everywhere and constant White Stripes chants, it was the way they acted to each other, to us and the bands.
Roskilde was an uncomfortable, no frills festival. The organises didn’t waste time and money on making us comfortable, but opted instead to spend the money on charities, awesome music, and climate change education. I respect them, and the crowd that goes every year for that.
We still don’t have a clue how much we spent there.

Copenhagen

... streets. Near the big office areas there are big bicycle parking areas. Most people here speak English, which is taught beginning in the 2nd grade. Apparently there is a long standing mistrust between the Danes and the Swedes, a feud that arose long ago and no one really knows why but it continues, sort of a good-natured thing. As we came in to Copenhagen there is a huge bridge that leaves Sweden and goes out ...

The journey back to Copenhagen

... a fruit tart. It was a late night, but like I said before, the sun didn't set until 10pm-ish that night. The Masons and the Wongs left the next morning for Copenhagen as the Masons needed to return the rental car in Malmo and catch a train to Stockholm. We waited for the rest of Arbor house (Matt, Bryce, John, and Kat's friend, Shanti) to join us at the Malmo train station...so we all can ride the train back ...

The Happiest Country on Earth

... which is a community without laws where anything goes. It is many things to many people, it is easy to buy drugs but also to make art and listen to music and build your own house out of a boat and paint a buddah on it. There's a trading post where you can get new books and shoes. Many organic restaurants inhabit old military buildings. The police are cracking down on the place, but the spirit seems very much alive. My cousin, Andreas lives in Copenhagen with his ...

Tivoli - For Real This Time

... up and down and the cars are free to rotate. Once it builds up a rhythm, the cars start flipping in all different directions. The ride is built very close to spikey railings and doesn't raise off the ground very far, so it looks like you could be decapitated. It also beats you up a lot, kind of like a good carnival ride. The Daemon, despite being small and short, is apparently the best steel coaster in Europe ...

And now im in a bar in Copenhagen

... got the gist. After tea we decided to go for another walk to see the sights of copenhagen but right outside our hostel was one city bike (20kr deposit) and decided to go and find some more. Using the map of where you can re-lock your bike up we went on a little treasure hunt to find 2 more city bikes and just about walked all over the city stopping past 7-11 for cheep beers along the way ...

Copenhagen

Today we'll go to Copenhagen; but not until the evening. Til then we can enjoy a whole day (or almost) on board the Constellation. For me, thats a premiere: arriving in the evening and then leave the next day. We arrived in Copenhagen at 8.00 p.m. We had just finished our (early) dinner, when the landing began. About half an hour later, we went ashore to get a picture of Copenhagen. We ...
