... drank some more beers
and chatted about our families and our lives for hours and hours and it was
really lovely to share tender stories, sad ones and happy ones too. We were all
feeling a bit nostalgic and also wanted to wrap up the boat trip, maybe it was
the beers and chat, or maybe a natural release, but at some point that evening
we all shed a tear or three. Having these types of conversations makes you realise
just how lucky we are for what we have back home ...

... knife, and found a fruit stall where we bought fresh mangoes before heading back to gorge ourselves in the garden of Dream Nest. After sweltering for a few hours in the heat and being attacked by a viscous gang of mossies, we headed into town for a walk in the evening, finding a great AC restaurant (so nice!) called Thaff. We disappointed the waiters by avoiding food, but, obviously in a mango mood, did have a couple of amazing mango milk shakes with a scoop of mango ice cream ...

After 45 minutes I landed and had safely made it to Kochi airport. Now to get to Fort Cochin and find Shuli and where I would be staying.

First port of call was the information desk where I obtained a map and some guidance as to where I needed to go. It was highly recommended I ordered a prepaid taxi given my journey would take over one hour. With my prepaid taxi slip in hand I was off to Princess Street ...

Mrs NoQueue has long gone. Her place has been taken over by the TellyTubbyTwins, two ladies who have the silhouette of cute round large-ish beach - balls from any angle they are seen. You must not stand in their way when they want something, for they will simply elbow their way past you.

... private ferry ride for a 2 hr ride to Nedmudi. Was sceptical of the boat ride right in the afternoon with the sun soarching down on us and also with narrow waterway from where the ride started. However after a few turns, we entered into the bigger canals and then right into the huge Vembanada lake and it was such a bliss.
The afternoon heat was non existant with caressing of the cool fresh winds, the lush greenery ...
