Friendly & helpful hostel- floors need sweeping!

Situated 25 minutes from the bus and train stations, and only 10 minutes from old town. We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. The room is sparse though comfortable; table & chairs, mirror, bin and beside shelves. We were lucky to find we had a room with a small balcony. The curtain enough is just mosquito net and so doesn't keep out the morning sun! Only complaint for the room is the floor was very dusty and so wearing shoes at all times was preferable. The bathrooms and showers are clean although there is only two per floor and so the morning rush can delay your plans. The staff were extremely helpful and could provide any train or bus times required.

When she saw me I didn't realise just how bad I looked, imagine someone who hasn't brushed any part of them in 3 days, hasn't slept in a bed and has only eaten a pickled herring, it was ugly. She gave me a free bottle of water and a hug and moved me to an upgraded room. It was the first time someone had been nice to ...

... but the indicators were on the wrong side for me and I kept putting the windscreen wipers on instead! We did get an international driver's licence, so I was legal!!! Then today, Algis suggested we go to his work. Algis is a Sargeant Major in the Lithuanian Army! So he took us around and we had the opportunity to try out target shooting using laser practice guns. Jolita and I were okay when ...
