Santa Monica - Venice Beach

... also checked out the Venice canals where the affluent residents reside. They were tame in terms off beauty but were absolutely rammed with watercolour wielding Warhol wannabes.
We skated back up to Santa Monica and by three we had walked 16 blocks to find an American institution - Taco Bell. It's a fast food Mexican takeaway and served us up some nice quesadillas.

Sylvia got Mark to drop us off at the Subway on Western Blvd, two girls at the station helped us load our cards & showed us where & how to get to Long Beach, we had to get a purple train to Metro Central & then we changed & got a blue train down to Long Beach. ... but go plummeting down the (very wet) drop. Everyone in the boat gets soaked! Next up is the Transformers ride which I almost skip because I'm pretty sure it's going to involve lot of sharp turns and jolts. Turns out to be the ride I enjoy the most- the special effects are astonishing and it is so realistic that it's hard to believe the whole ride lasts for a mere 4 minutes- feels like you have just run a marathon!

... on a speaker doing the the guide and I missed that interaction. I also went through Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, The La Brea Tar Pits and the Beverly center. The tour was about 2.5 hours. I got back to start point at 1:00 and the next route we wanted to take, the Purple was at 2:00 PM. I will kill the hour by grabbing something to eat at the mall on Holllywoood Blvd.

... had seen a frozen yoghurt shop in Hollywood on one of our previous days and decided to try it out. The walk was worth it! I had orange chocolate and birthday cake flavour with just about every topping imaginable!
