... it fresh in Bel Air, we ran up to the gate and posed for a few pictures like a couple of groupies. Venice Beach provided hours of people watching performing on the beach boardwalk and working out on the famous Muscle Beach. Muscle Beach wasn't the raw pumping iron in the sand as we envisioned but was enclosed in an area where men, proven shameless from their banana hammocks, were working out. Eventually we did land, but 10 hours and a 4 hour airport hotel sleep later.

So another industry has arisen: that of notifying and dealing with delays or cancellations. Mobile travel applications abound. Airport hotels remain open for last minute bookings until the wee hours, as do car rentals as people try to work out either accommodation for the night, or
alternate ways to arrive.

We arrived, dropped the van off at Dodge and Keith came to pick us up. Keith is a superintendent for a construction company and his current job was at a Hyatt House, where we ended up staying for the next 6 days while the van was being worked on. What a blessing!!! ... off with the House of Horrors first up, Mum and I didn't go in though because it was meant to be pretty scary, yes, I'm a sook!
