... we stopped. Smokey got tons of attention from people on the boardwalk too! There is live entertainment at the bar tonight. I don't think we'll go back for drinks since we went out for lunch, but we'll probably dress warmly, pour some drinks and bring our chairs up to the front of the boat and listen since the bar is so close. We will leave tomorrow and head down the Chesapeake, probably to Annapolis area. It has been a relaxing stay, and we have our energy back for another good push ...

... discovered that around the little island the water was about 40 feet deep so we would have had to go up the river quite a bit instead). We checked our distance from the crab pots and the fish pots and set anchor in the cove with another boat in the same situation as us. It ended up being a bad move after all. The wind did not die down, the fetch got worse and by dark we had three foot chop. We had to tie up the wheel to stop it from smashing... we didn't want to lock ...

          Dover - Delaware's Colonial Capital

... old town – the old county courthouse, Delaware’s original statehouse, churches, and homes of the early elite – surrounding it.

The current Delaware State Capitol, called the Legislative Hall and set back from the rest of the historic town by a wide grassy mall, was only completed in 1933 but has an interior that looks much older in a very colonial-era style. I quite liked the paintings of Delaware history in the ...

We walked through the National Gallery of art it is huge and you could spend a day there alone all of them you could. The art was stunning, it amazes me how well preserved it was and example Leonardo da Vinci, Ginevra de Benci from 1474 / ...

... a moment were I thought I was actually dead...that I had hit those deer on the side of the road, and Dover was my Purgatory, waiting for a plane to heaven that just wasn't coming.

Then when I was about to give up, a C-17 arrived heading for Seattle Washington. My way to the west had arrived! My journey could finally continue, and I could put this horrid place behind me. The military has a saying, "Its over, when you get to Dover." Too true....Too True.
