Ontario, California, United States paultrip2... The ride was really fun! Since it was now lunch time we decided that we wanted to grab lunch at Award Wieners. We noticed that their hot dogs are now smaller and instead of the really good shoestring fries you get your choice of chips or apple slices with you hot dog. Although the food is smaller, the prices have remained the same. While we ate, I ran over to Tower of Terror to get a FastPass. We then went to see Muppet ...
Anaheim, California, United States ricflack... first break down was the hydraulic strut for the bed where we stowed the suitcases. It wouldn't go back down. Oh well a solution was found. Rick went to the 0.99c store and bought a set of screw drivers and some other bargains!! Wow these a re great stores just ideal for Earnie and Rick (& Karon who has joined the seniors idea of saving funds) We Removed the strut!! Problem solved. We then went through Target and bought a toaster and headed to ...
Anaheim, California, United States popusa2008... I shouldn't have any trouble with the glass stuff, but apparently you can't see through crystal with the air port's x-ray like things, so they may pull me aside with it... I found this really interesting... We caught a taxi down to a chemist to get some stronger cold and flu stuff for me. None of this stuff works though. Our taxi driver was a lovely bloke with a very hard to decipher accent. Had a good laugh with him. Don't ...
Anaheim, California, United States becbennett... of the park, which is something lots of others properly would not otherwise do. But the highlight of Toon Town was not Mickey. It was a prank we pulled on Zac. Having regained his trust, we had him pushing buttons and pulling leavers all over Toon Town to see what they would do. One of the last "things" we encouraged him to try was a door marked "Power Station". When you pulled on the door, it roared as if huge volumes of electricity were ...
Anaheim, California, United States cdcass... with the clothes but drew a blank on the celeb spotting. We have also been treated to a night out at the Underground Bar in Hermosa Beach where Matt introduced me to Newcastle Brown Ale and then another, and then another...... the ride home was a bit wobbly...... Today we have cruised over to Rodeo Drive where the girls melted the credit cards at Louis Vuitton and Tiffany's. We also hit the jackpot with the celebrity ...
Los Angeles, California, United States pc_out_there... and breaks during house days. Harmless bets, really. But it makes the games a little more exciting. Plus, we all want to see someone have to do a watering morning they didn't sign up for. It sounds lame, but it's stuff like this that really keeps us entertained. We get along so well that playing card games keep us occupied and laughing for hours on end (no joke). I hope everyone is doing well. I miss you all. I'm half-way done (sadly), and will be returning to Portland in no time.
Los Angeles, California, United States amcgilli... was the politest fight we had ever seen. Most bizarre. The Getty museum is excellent and well worth the trip. Everything they say about the smog is true. We caught the Greyhound to San Diego from Beverly Hills, about a 3 hour drive. San Diego: Stayed again with another friend of a friend, who wins the award for the best shower. Also the award for finding the biggest (and best) margheritas, in ...
LA, California, United States kerrynh... The rides were all virtual reality and pretty effective all round, our favourite was definitely "Jurasic Park" of which we have a great photo to remind us of what a pair of idiots we are!!! In the evening we decided to go watch a movie and then grab some dinner after. We viewed "Meet the Fockers" enjoyed it as Barbara Streisand and Dustin Hoffmann were really crazy, a bit over the top but in a good way. Our meal was one of very American proportions ...
