Dear Friends,
We are leaving this Friday for a cruise. I'm trying to use this Travelpod blog to send out our stories. If you don't want them, just delete. If you do want them, and don't receive any after Friday, email me and I will try to figure this out.
See you soon,
Cassie
Wildwood, Missouri, United States beanblossomHi, Friends,
We are going on a cruise Nov 13-26. And rather than try to send each email individually, I found Travelpod. It's a blog site that lets me hit 'send' once, and it does the work for me. So watch for entries from Travelpod. If you aren't inclined to read them, feel free to delete. Let's hope it works!
Talk soon,
Cassie
Wildwood, Missouri, United States beanblossomIt rained all night, we left in the rain. Drove to Indianapolis with only a couple turnarounds. We stayed off the Interstate, ran into a poorly marked detour. Now we are in St. Louis, MO staying for the night in an inferior motel with superior access to our camper. Parked right outside.
It has always been stressful for Bill and I ...
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States ironworker02527 Oct we were at St Louis Arch and Westward Expansion museum, in the afternoon went to Bass Pro Shop headquarters. The arch is 670 ft tall. Little cars holding 5 people take you to the top. No windows in the cars.. The Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO is the largest store in the world and thier National Headquarters. I bought a few pieces of outdoor clothing there
St Louis, United States rogersusieq... always tell us to skip this state and skip that state but so far every state has turned up something suprising. Thanks to Wayne and his friends for all their recommendations.

St Louis is famous for the Gateway Arch (Gateway to the West), this Arch is the tallest National Monument in America and took only 2.5 years to build. It stands on the foreshore with the river in front and the State Capitol building ...
St Louis, Missouri, United States bekandjesse... hopefully, a quiet day. just some last minute packing for the trip. my plan is to start driving tomorrow morning to Columbus, Ohio. then on Tuesday, finish the trip to mom"s house in NJ. i am surprising her for her 80th birthday, which is Saturday. she has no idea that i am coming, or her sister from Texas, or that there is a party for with all her friends. It should be hectic, but enjoyable.

Ohio here i come!
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States pedfri01Because of all of the rain Sunday we were unsure of what baseball we may have on Monday. As it turned out we had no games all day Monday. We took that opportunity and most of the team decided to visit the arch and take a ride on the Mississippi River. The weather was ...
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States elliskca... fun too. The manager said the park is open on weekends until Thanksgiving and I was lucky I wasn't trying to ride around here in summer, with all the lines. We also talked about how their Chrysler plant (minivans) was likely closing and in general, the outlook wasn't bright. What can I say, being an example of budget cutbacks?
St. Louis, Missouri, United States vulcanrider... future - thank you!... I am often asked "how do you choose where you will go next?"...I think it happens by chance rather than by some logical process...although I've come up with a wonderful (or so I think) method for choosing our next destination: I can write down my 3 top destinations du jour on 3 pieces of paper and put them in a red hat (could be a different color, too, but I want red!), and then my angel can write down his 3 top destinations du jour and ...
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States irenan... any comfortable way to sleep, lounging over several seats and the floor. I found that in a tight fetal position, I could lie across 2 seats with my head on the arm rest, and I managed to sleep 20 minutes that way (A flight record for me). I love the cold, and sounds of the plane, and murmur of flight attendants talking on overnight flights, and looking back at the map every so often to see where I am and how cold it is outside.
