I'm frantically trying to work through my 3 page list of things to do before I go. Setting up a travel blog was one of the things on my list. Hopefully this will work as a great way to share stories and photos will all our friends and family back home. This seems pretty easy so far. My next task is a little more complicated...buying another swim suit. Why did I wait until 48 hours before departure to tackle this monumental task?

Off to MOA!

Mary

Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States goldenfrog88Leaving on my trip to Las Vegas tomorrow. I found some cheap motels through this website, extended stay motels that were very affordable. I didn't read the reviews though, so I hope they are not too sleazy. But ...

And then having to put shoes on. Yuck, that was a nasty shock. This time we got the chance to really explore the Kona airport. Hee Hee Haw Haw. That is one funny open air airport. There are about 10 gates and it really is open air. I am guessing it very rarely rains there ...

Stay tuned for much more exciting updates in the near future as I provide a window into my preparations, trials, tribulations, trepidations, etc. Enjoy the literary vicariousness!

Here is a ...
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States feistystolaf... The Urgent Care Clinic, after about an hour and a half, sent us on to the Emergency Department of the local hospital where she had the surgery done last Tuesday. The upshot was there are no clots in her leg, and no bleeders, and the ER doctor doesn't know why her leg is so swollen. But, figuring that there's some sort of infection, Deann was put on antibiotics and sent home with instructions to see her own doctor by tomorrow. A very late night, and a lot ...
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States rvrladypat... variety of food and drinks for any nationality. We found quite a few places to eat within waking distance including KFC and McDonalds. The city tour the next day, included in the cruise package, was about 4 hours and took us all over the city including a visit to Notre Dame. Paris is large with many old structures and gardens. We bought a Metro day pass and this allowed us to use the train and bus, getting off at the Louvre (closed Tuesdays), the Eiffel Tower and Old Opera ...
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States mncruiseThis morning was very leisurely at the Nelson home before I headed off to meet Michael B. for breakfast at the Uptown Dinner in Minneapolis. Spent a couple hours chatting with him and eggs Florentine for breakfast. This place has some of the best hash browns around! Back to the Nelson's for a Christmas lunch with our 2 families. Barb had made a standing rib roast and all the trimmings. Needless to say, we ...

I went over to a table that was adorned with lots of French flair and decorations, and a hostess offered me a glass of champagne. It was so good! I then made my way over to another table full of Parisian o'dourves and appetizers. In between eating and people watching, I looked up and noticed Carl Eller from the ...
