I can't remember where it was - some little country place in Pennsylvania I think. After that our trip became difficult. Traffic jams on the freeway for no apparent reason. ... been in China? I'm so amazed you can speak our language!" Even with some of the people in my "dearly beloved" category, I was majoring in math because I'm left-handed, or smart because I'm Jewish, or only able to speak Chinese because I am dating a man from China (who, until recently, never spoke Chinese with me, ever.)
