... to hotel arriving back about 8pm. Another long hot day, but good to rest the legs in part on the bus ride. Good to have seen the sights but the tour itself a bit average, maybe a different commentator would have improved it, the next days bus ride was better commentary - then again maybe we are being a bit picky! The game didn’t bode well for England initially. Italy got off to a fast start with a beautiful strike from just outside the 18 yard box. England soon equalized however with a full stretched goal off a brilliant cross from left halfback Wayne Rooney.

The weather has been gorgeous while we have been in LA. It gets dark by about 5.30 but the days are lovely and hot. The one thing that really surprised us today was the amount of people that didn't have hats on. Totally different to Australia. I mean like one person in every hundred would be wearing a hat and hardly any kids and it was really hot and glarey.
But all in all a great day. Bring on tomorrow.
