... the lookout for Natty Flats. We found it after driving about five miles on 281. Natty Flats is a collection of old looking buildings and one very large cedar rocking chair (see picture). In the morning though, we have to leave, wishing we had another week to spend in Texas. But we’re not done with our favourite state just yet. Not far west of Austin is a lovely natural wonder, the Hamilton Pool. ... a hangout for "River Rats," who kayak, canoe and fish on this unique river. It's spring-fed, which is rare here and runs the year around. The water is clear and much like you'd see at home...without the ice.

... is New Orleans and we can't wait!! Right now we are passing through Houston and stopping for lunch. Gotta run, but stay tuned for adventures from Luisiana......Voodoo Festival takes place while we are there this weekend and is when the city celebrates Halloween.
