An excellent hotel, not far from the city, in fact we walked into the city and back. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful.

The right spot for choosing a hotel in Dublin will depend on what you are doing most of the time there... I think access to this hotel is good, it's a well known area, and a very comfortable hotel with great facilities, Great showers, wifi in your rooms, varied buffet for breakfast etc..
About a half hour walk to the main sights...
So in respect to being very close to everything, I'd choose one closer to the temple bar area, which is also close to grafton street where the shopping is..this is still a great hotel choice though

Kicked off the morning with a wonderful Irish buffet breakfast. Fresh baked pastries and breads, juices, yogurts, fresh sliced fruits, cheeses, luncheon meats, waffles, sautéed mushrooms, halved baked tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns, Irish sausage (my favorite item), scrambled eggs, back bacon (like Canadian bacon), Irish white and black pudding …

As I said before, I stayed up all night and took a flight from Berlin to Dublin. I was extremely tired but not in bad shape because I didn't stay up all night from drinking. And I got an hour of sleep on the plane.

So I threw my bags down and and went to it. I was extremely hungry so I found a diner that appeared to have edible food. I...

Got up at 0530 this morning to return the rental car to the airport. The rental agency was really easy to find. I was a little worried they might try to charge me for scrapes on the side of the car, but they didn't. Since the roads were so narrow, we were constantly scraping the trees on the side just to get by! I grabbed a taxi back to the hote...
