An excellent hotel, not far from the city, in fact we walked into the city and back. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful.

The right spot for choosing a hotel in Dublin will depend on what you are doing most of the time there... I think access to this hotel is good, it's a well known area, and a very comfortable hotel with great facilities, Great showers, wifi in your rooms, varied buffet for breakfast etc..
About a half hour walk to the main sights...
So in respect to being very close to everything, I'd choose one closer to the temple bar area, which is also close to grafton street where the shopping is..this is still a great hotel choice though

    Nice overall

Nice staff, decent rooms, good restaurants.

    Loved the Burlington

After seeing some negative reviews of this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to find absolutely nothing to complain about. I stayed here the last night of a Celtic Tours trip and liked the room and all the facilities. We had a wonderful reasonably priced fixed dinner in the dining room and a grand buffet breakfast that far surpassed those we had had for the entire week. It is an elegant hotel and all of the staff were very friendly.

Top class hotel for great prices

When i checked into the Burlington was very pleased to find a lovely, big ,clean room. All the staff were very helpful and plesant. The food was beautiful. The night club was sensational. I will definatly be recommending the burlington and will definatly be going back again soon!!

    Dirty room-great night club

Checked in to executive floor room to find someone else's mouldy leftover sandwiches in a cupboard, and a dirty linen hanky under the clean towel in the bathroom. Yukk. Not much interest at reception when I reported it, and no adjustment to the bill. 4* I don't think so. On the plus side, good night at the night club.

    Great time at burlington

I stayed at the BUrlington for a conference on February 24/25/26 2004, the service was fantastic the staff were the best, some with over 20 years at the same hotel, the Concierge could not do enough for me, as I had to leave at 5.30 in morning for early flight out.

The room was comfortable clean and had all I needed, the food was good and the ambience excellent.

I am in the industry in England and thoroughly recommend the Burlington and its staff.

Spent 24TH-28TH December 2003 at the Burlington. Free room upgrade without request was much appreciated. Hotel and staff were fantastic and we couldn't have been made more welcome. Only criticism would be that the hotel had no entertainment over the period and that Dublin pubs seemed to all be closed on Christmas Eve. Otherwise very enjoyable and would happily return - the diet starts tomorrow!!

    What a sham!

Stayed there on business. Both boilers broke down during the night, so no hot water for showers or shaving. Worst of all, I got a wake up call, but was not told. After playing with the shower a while I rang reception and they told me that both boilers were broken and would not be fixed until that afternoon.

When checking out I had to insist to get a rate reduction and had to wait 20 minutes for a "Manager" to come to see me. He tried to bring me away from the reception desk and keep it quiet from other guests to make a deal on the room rate.

Reception continued to charge full price to all other guests. I did not get an apology or an explanation on how both boilers could be gone. I was late for a meeting, felt dirty after my cold shower and was seething with anger. Not a good way to win business.

    What a sham!

    Billing scam

Complete run around with the billing. We had booked, canceled, then booked again at a lower rate and, despite taking care to be sure it was all clear when we checked in, they charged us at the substantially higher rate when we checked out. Then, they assured us it was ok and they would fix it, but when the bill arrived it was at the higher rate and we have a huge hassle of having to contest the overseas bill. If you must stay here I recommend you keep all our records very handy because you may need them!!

    Old, grubby and noisy

I have stayed in many hotels in Dublin and around the world - this is the worst 4 star hotel I have set foot in. The staff are reasonably friendly, however the room was grubby - needed a good lick of paint and there was a hole in the wall above the shower which had loads of dust and muck in. The TV didn't work properly. I stayed on Wednesday night, and the noise from the nightclub went on until well into 3am in the morning. I was then woken at 6.30am by a wake up call that I didn't request! I also ran out of toothpaste - any other 4 star hotel I have been in would have been glad to send some up via housekeeping, but I was told that I would have to go down to the gents on the ground floor and pay 4 for a tootpaste pack - not impressed!!

    Wicked hotel

i went to the burlington hotel on a company trip and it was wicked. bright, clean, friendly and much much more. i am thinking of going to dublin again next year and the burlington is the only hotel for me.

We departed Manchester with a drive past Manchester United Football Stadium and Old Trafford Cricket Ground and that's about it for Manchester.

We would have liked a drive around the city to see more but it was not on the tour agenda, don't know if there was anything else to see.

So we move onto Chester where we spend an hour and …

Since we work in the hospitality industry we always have pretty amazing Christmas parties- last year we went to Leeds (not the most exciting destination... but still it was new for me!) and this year we decided to visit Dublin!

So the whole team met up at the airport and caught a flight to Dublin, where we were picked up from the airport …

As I said before, I stayed up all night and took a flight from Berlin to Dublin. I was extremely tired but not in bad shape because I didn't stay up all night from drinking. And I got an hour of sleep on the plane.

So I threw my bags down and and went to it. I was extremely hungry so I found a diner that appeared to have edible food. I...
