... we walked through the town, across the Green and through a covered bridge to start our hike. We followed the wide and easy carriage trails for a while then veered off onto the aptly named Precipice Walk. Well, there was a bit of a drop on one side, but hardly 'hold your breath' stuff. ... So we organised everything, and I made a box full of presents that I planned to send home (since my suitcase is already at a bulge and we're only 2 weeks in).

We then decided to hit up the Rutland State Fair that had its opening night tonight, conveniently just down the road from where we were staying. Now for a country town fair, it was actually pretty fun. There were petting zoos, shop stalls, food stalls, rides; about the only ...
