This has been a wind down day with general relaxing and exchanging addresses. At the 0745 wake up call it was already 25 degrees so the days are definitely getting warmer. It is now time to pack away the cold weather clothes and brace for high temperatures. One particular presentation today was really inspiring. It was an honour to listen to Laurie Dexter, the team historian, talk about the first group to walk/ski across the Arctic. ...

Heading south we spent a night in Mar del Plata, another large city on the coast. Nothing special about the town except it is the second largest beach town in the country and does indeed have a very wide beach that was crowded even as the sun was setting. It's surrounded by very flat, very fertile farmland. What strikes me most is how little we know about this country. Seems like people either live in huge cities or in very isolated, tiny villages.

... Milos was 'Sharks'. Also went to the Interdenominational Ash Wednesday service, lead by a Catholic priest with the assistance of a Monsignor. About 100 there.

Have seen more birds from our balcony, but they were hard to photograph. One was a Wandering Albatross. This evening we went through the Maire Channel heading round Tiera del Fuego towards Ushuaia.
Tonights showtime featured a couple of the Supremes - yes the real ones. Very good too.

... couldn't help but feel part of their family by the end of the day! Crazy place for sure, but makes you appreciate our beautiful white sand and quiet beaches on the Goldy that's for sure. At least the swim suits of the locals are getting bigger and at least covering their bits compared with ...

Not had a whiff of instant since back in Argentina and even
had a filter coffee machine in the apartment, a real treat to wake up to.

Happily it didn’t have the hideous over-powering aroma of
air freshener – everyone here (and in Chile) liberally sprays the stuff around,
all over anyone who happens to be there or has those machines squirting it out
      at regular intervals, even ...
