... city tours when time is short, so with a good night's sleep behind me and a 6PM departure for Chiang Mai, I took a tour into Seoul. It was brief but a good introduction. First was to see the Chenggyecheon stream, which ran through the heart of the city for centuries until the Japanese "covered it up" with a road during occupation. Restoration begin in 2005 and it is now a main feature for the city.

Seoul is definately the most lively and dymanic of all Korean cities. Although not the prettiest of cities, it does have alot of nice parks and plenty to see. Itaewon, was a common hangout, and is good for the Western bar/restaurant scene, but try not to stay there.
