Thiswas a place Kent selected for a visit because of the historical significance. It is (i believe) the only remaining completely walled city. The wall runs all the way around, much of it with a walkway along the top (see pictures). Iwith holes in the wall for guns to defend the city. Some of the buildings were built as early as 1250. Point Alpha and dinner at Timo and Bianca's home
We met Timo, Robin, Tante Waltraut and Uncle Rudy, Harald and Gabi at Point Alpha Memorial and learned what living near to the east/west border was like.
Afterward, we all drove to Bianca and Timo's house for a delicious bbq. Bianca worked hard and dinner was great! We also met Bianca's Mom, Erica.

Day 2 in Fulda
We rented a Mercedes and visited Marbach and Hunfeld for a trip down memory lane. These were the towns where my grandparents lived when I was a child.
We also enjoyed our visit with my Aunt Karola, Uncle Rudy and family in Dammersbach.
