Dietmar offered us tickets to a local handball tournament. He is also a member of a local shooting club and invited me to come shoot with him on Saturday. I am not so interested in handball but I think I might like to go to the shooting range.

The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent playing games and talking over dinner. So far this is turning out to be a very nice, relaxing vacation.

... Schloss. It's a nice 13th century castle which is now a musuem. Not only does it have mining tunnels under the castle to walk through, it also houses some great paintings by local artist Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640).

We finished off the day with some German board games that evening and a great local beer, Eichener Pils. Julia said she has a friend that works at the brewery and may be able to get me a tour.

... was Koln. After adventuring at the Frankfurt Hostel, which I HIGHLY recommend. I went to the Meinger Hostel in Cologne. Now, this city has a lot of what I like about Germany. You can walk everywhere and not have to deal with cars, and you can drink everywhere. There is a good view on the rhine. Day 22: In the morning Antje, her sister and her niece drove me up to a beautiful view over Sauerland called Faulebutter. In the evening we then met up with Antje's friends and had dinner and then went to a lake and spent the evening talking and hanging out...

Ja, unsere Tour ist zuende!! Es ist schon unglaublich, aber wenn man so zurueckdenkt, kommt sie einem unglaublich kurz vor. Wir haben so lange von dieser Tour getraeumt und sie geplant und nun ging es am Ende so schnell. Es war teilweise schon extrem anstrengend und wir hatten zwischenzeitlich auch schon mal ein Tief und waeren liebend gerne nach Hause geflogen.
