The beer and Valium may cause a slightly hazy navigational experience while trying to catch my next flight. This will in no way cause me to actually avoid these drugs, but rather it will simply push me to do a bit of extra planning while still state-side.
I'll look up the map of the airport.
I'll work out my route from one gate to the next.
I'll look into specific landmarks to help jog my potentially foggy ...
... one must first ask before ordering. This is an important lesson to learn while traveling in Europe. Another important lesson to learn is that not everyone speaks English, and even if they do, many do not appreciate being spoken to in English without first asking politely if they do indeed know the language. “Kre-DEET-car-ten okay?”, I asked. Even that got a confused look and a visit from the manager. I do know that phrase usually works, by the way. We ...
Worms, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany byron_and_tracy... Well here's the story:
After having met a bunch of design students "by chance" (still don't believe in chance though ;) at a party,

I reckon this trip will help me to make some awesome pictures.
It was sooooo cold in Frankfurt, we didn't want to spend much time here since we had no winter clothing. WE got in late, went to our hotel, then back to the airport to get our flight to Bangkok moved up. We though it would be at 8 that night, but they managed to get us on the next flight out, which was pretty much within the hour. Woohooo! I also kept speaking Italian in Germany... so confused with all the languages.
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany sofenjon... their walls, not to mention some German candies.
Unfortunately it was time to call it a trip, so we all piled in the car and Flo kindly drove us home on the ultra-efficient Autobahn where nobody drives slowly in the left lane.
Auf wiedersehen! It was a great trip!

... they were amazing...tunnels around the outside, towers, a huge wine cellar that used to be the dry moat....I will show you some pictures if I figure out how to download them. We are now in Switzerland, and staying the night here. We have been on the train so much I feel like a sailor when we get on dry land, always rocking back and forth. Wish you all were here with us....the beer is good, and I will have thighs of steel from carrying my 8000lb pack.
St Goar, Germany cperkin... in 3s right? 1. Don't get to go to Belgium. 2. Museum is closed. 3. May not be able to come home. Let me explain...
After walking around the park and going through the maze (out of interest, did u know that mazes were originally invented as a way of engagement between young people in post viking times? The maze was designed by the father. His daughter would stand in the middle and then eligable young men who wanted to marry her would have to go ...
... more pretzels (seriously we ate so many pretzels!!) Then we went back to the hotel to get ready and went out to a pub where I sampled some of that famous apfel wein. Saturday we started out where I had really been looking forward to - The Museum of Modern Kunst (art). I love modern art! I have to say I wasn't that impressed with the exhibitions but the building was shaped like a triangle and nicknamed "slice of cake" and it had some hidden ...

Glenn also told us not to wonder off but every time we pass a toilet he somehow has the ugre to go and drops off the Savage/Stewart line without telling us....2 mins later we realise he is gone and we have to wauit. Everyone at the airport seems to think Catherine is German and she has to explain she is English haha. So we are now going to arrive in Amsterdam will send an update shortly.
Frankfurt, Germany savagestewartI've been in Frankfurt several times, mostly checking out the gift show in my capacity as a trade show geek in general, promoter of my frog line in particular. So I know the town a bit. But this time we merely pass through, in the middle of the night, right through the center ...
