... spent too much time investigating. Aside from a few months of an Introductory German course that I failed and dropped, I certainly have no 1st hand experience with their culture.
Planning, plotting, and practicing is how I will accomplish this irresponsible feat of travel and confusion.

I reckon this trip will help me to make some awesome pictures.

It was sooooo cold in Frankfurt, we didn't want to spend much time here since we had no winter clothing. WE got in late, went to our hotel, then back to the airport to get our flight to Bangkok moved up. We though it would be at 8 that night, but they managed to get us on the next flight out, which was pretty much within the hour. Woohooo! I also kept speaking Italian in Germany... so confused with all the languages.

... it. You must pass through another security checkpoint to enter the Lufthansa gates. Then you wait in long lines which are not really lines all all because everyone politely presses forward until it is one giant herd of bodies. Only the determined persevere and move forward. The rest of us schmucks stay put in line as people move ahead until we get the hang of it and we learn to politely push forward. My passport was taken, entered into a ...

Unfortunately it was time to call it a trip, so we all piled in the car and Flo kindly drove us home on the ultra-efficient Autobahn where nobody drives slowly in the left lane.

Auf wiedersehen! It was a great trip!

... luggage was stored at the train station for the day. Annabel wore her toilet costume and we found a store that sold cool wigs and hats. I bought a cow hat that moos and Annabel got a German flag coloured Mullet wig. We wore them for the rest of the day and had a great time. We ate Bratwurst for lunch, met up with some other friends for a cup of coffee, and walked around checking out the street theatre and costumes.

... rocketed uptp 22km per hour and we were at the top in a few seconds. That wasc cool but it would have been WAY cooler with windows!! So we got to the 'top' when we spotted people comming down stairs from even higher up! Nice. So up we went to the actual rooftop. We got to the top and it was really really windy, like Jamie was holding onto his beanie! To make things worse, its walls were about waist high and were just bits of glass. Once I get to Frankfurt, I find that my hostel has been closed for Christmas week, so I find a puny hostel nearby. I was impressed with its environment that I decide to stay there for a couple of nights while wandering around this business-friendly city. All day, I found Frankfurt to be totally dead with all ...

... you’d never do in the US, where freeways scream right over and around the centers of towns, frequently chopping up neighborhoods in the process. In Europe they stop at the edges, strictly a point-to-point sprint. You still have to wind your way through the cities, usually.
