    ... at Schiphol with a good view of the airport, thankfully our runway was near to the terminal area today so only a shortish taxi time, sometimes it can take nearly 20 minutes from landing to stopping as some of the runways at Schiphol are miles, literally, from the terminals. The flight from Norwich parks away from the main terminal so we have to leave the aircraft and board a bus to take us to the arrival ...

    ... stamped by French Customs. They have their Customs in Dover, and the English have their Customs in France, so we'll meet them on our return. At least we'll get some more stamps in our passports.


    We all have to troop through passport control to get our passports stamped by a surly French official. Unfortunately we had to wait and missed the ferry we were hoping to catch.

    Well we got to our hotel about 10:30 and of course they would not let us in till 2pm....we were supposed to meet a friend from the ship but this hotel has bad Internet and no air con...not happy jan! However it is very well positioned and kind of quaint! And they gave us a fan! So we left our bags and off to the hop on hop off bus....we toured the city then hopped off for lunch.
