      ... at Schiphol with a good view of the airport, thankfully our runway was near to the terminal area today so only a shortish taxi time, sometimes it can take nearly 20 minutes from landing to stopping as some of the runways at Schiphol are miles, literally, from the terminals. The flight from Norwich parks away from the main terminal so we have to leave the aircraft and board a bus to take us to the arrival ...

      Tour to Marken, Volendam and Edam today. Early start as we were catching a tram to the meeting point and wanted to allow plenty of time. Caught the tram and found the offices of the tour company with plenty of time to spare, even had time for breakfast of hot waffles and coffee, we might even be getting good at this... Hopped on the bus, only to find next pick up point was around the corner from our hotel and we hadn't needed to leave so early and catch the tram !!! ...

      ... have large hooks on the roof to hoist furniture etc up to the higher levels, which we got to see in action ourselves! It was cool to know the city had not changed much in hundreds of years and it has definitely been one of the prettiest we have visited. The fact that the whole city, along with half of the The Netherlands is reclaimed land is an engineering feat in itself.       ... But as u well know, I've never been one to follow a woman in a huff and I wasn't about to start today. I find such behaviour juvenile and I'll NEVER entertain nor participate... So I went to the toilet instead.... Surprisingly calm was quickly restored and the rest of the trip was love, peace & harmony ...

      ... people got creative and started making house boats! They is a permit you have to have for this and they stopped selling them so it you have a life one your permit became really valuable. They also took us to the only canal where you can view 7 bridge crossings. Really not that interesting but you take the good with the bad! We hit up a cheese museum someone ...
