      ... had been bombed in the 2nd world war. Their singing was utmost impressive. Then we went into the square and saw a sphinx that had been imported from Egypt around 2000 years ago. We then saw the giant bronze statue of Bishop Gregory of Nin a historical figure from Croatian history (look this up!). We rubbed his toe for good luck and I wished for Eli and his flock to be safe.

      Its always exciting when you head to a country for the first time and we were both excited about visiting Croatia - in part from what others had said and also from our own investigations.
