A travel blog entry by jennifer63 on Aug 11, 2014

Great to get back on the bike today, er um for about 10 minutes. The temperature rose to 42.5 in no time and our Rukka textiles are not suited to this, we were literally baking inside our gear. ... from the internet so you can see a bit of the area.)

After hiking around, we went back to the van and continued our ride to Fethiye. It took about 3 hours to get there, but was a great drive. It is very similar to Big Sur - roads along the curves of the mountains with precipitous drops to the ocean. The only difference is that the ocean is an amazing aquamarine color.

We stay in Fethiye for the next two days so will have more to report then!

... Missed having a drink or dinner on my birthday, but I felt so washed out.

    24 August

Not a good nights sleep, which I really needed. It was still hot at 6pm when I went to bed. I didn't realise we were 4000 feet above sea level,(the same as Ben Nevis, apparently), so it got cold overnight and I only had my liner with me, sleeping bag left on the truck, which was locked up for the night. I ended up putting on all the clothes I could ...
