We didn't quite make it ahead of the rain, but we had our rain gear and didn't get soaked. Once inside we had a partial lunch, since I only had a bit of food along. Then we head to the tanks. Last night, after watching Da Vinci Code, Ian and I decided to try and leave a bit earlier today and head north to Sacre-Coeur in the Montmartre district. After breakfast we suit up for wet weather. So far the streets are barely wet but the sky is gray and no sunshine is even attempting break through. We leave the hotel at 10am and catch the metro to Abbesses station. Apparently trains are a way that a lot of illegal immigrants (non EU citizens) get into Germany so they perform these raids to stem the flow.
I don't know how much sleep I got that night, very little I assume. If anyone tells you that you can rest on a sleeper train as it travels overnight, I would question their own experience in this area.
