    Happy 50th birthday to me!

    What a wonderful gift for my birthday, a private tour of Downton Abbey known as Highclere Castle.

    I went through the castle and saw bedrooms, the salon, dinning, library and the music room. It is amazing! Walls are covered with embossed leather or rolls of silk cloth, and old Georgian plaster ceilings. From ...

    ... was STG4/hr. Aaahhhhh We returned to Whitchurch via many alt routes n back roads for something different from the motorways n peak hr traffic. Reached home 6pmish. Roger has prepared dinner, Catrina is preparing a Pav for tomorrow evening when some of their friends I met last visit are coming over. Last night we made Chocolate cases and packed them with home made ice cream, hhhmmmmm More to come....... RER ...

    ... we were on our own. We went onto Staines and moored at Staines bridge where we did a shop at Sainesburys which was a much nicer one than the one at Chertsey. We had coffee at Starbucks and then walked back to the narrow boat and then went on our way. Next lock was Bell Weir. We passed Magna Carta Island.     Here I am in London!!! Er...50 minutes south of London! Been spending some time with a family that I used to work for in the states. They have been so nice to me! Today we went in to London and I went on the London eye for the first time! Also last night they made enchiladas the way I taught them!! Such a lovely family! Tomorrow we're going ice skating! I'm so excited! Monday will see me in Italy! Looking forward to spending some time with my birth family! :) See you all soon!! ...

    Since I went to bed at 8pm, you'd think I would have woken up really early. No I did not. I slept until 9am. Everyone is still sleeping and it's almost noon.
