... OMG! This is such an impossibly beautiful place. There is a photo op every second. The lake is gorgeous and the mountains are behind it. I'm so glad I came up here. I've pretty much been everywhere in Italy now that I wanted to go. For dinner I had sliced chicken fillet with a Parmesan cheese sauce with a "hint" of truffle and vegies plus the obligatory wine! I couldn't taste the truffle but it was so nice to have some decent meat. Very nice restaurant ...

So today we took advantage of having our California family here and left Gianna with her Aunties and Cousin so we could just take Noelle to Lake Como. We drove up through Lecco (yep not a bad place to have a chocolate factory- too bad the chocolate outlet was closed on the way back) to Varenna.
