      ... the blow-up bed was malfunctioning so they were both sleeping on the couch! What a way to spend the night before their 50the Wedding Anniversary!!!

      Leisurely breakfasts were enjoyed with no great hurry to head out into the drizzly day but eventually we motivated ourselves and walked into the city along the canal - ending up at the Galleries of Justice Museum. Over to Lauren to tell you all about it....

      ... as the windmill worked away making nutritious organic peanut oil, so we went in. It was really fascinating watched it work, and the noise of the gears clunking and the smell of burning wood made it a very atmospheric place. The guy had a big pile of peanuts and he was feeding them onto the grinder wheel. We went upstairs to have a closer look at the workings, up here you could really smell the burning wood smell and the gears were smoking, we had a wander outside ...

      So we are off to Rome, flying Ryanair from East Midlands Airport. East Midlands Airport has some terrible reviews as does Ryanair so what can go wrong. We decided to use the long stay parking as our return flight gets in at 10:30 pm and using buses or taxis could end up in failure. We prepaid for Long Stay Car Park 1 and arrive at the boom gates to see "Car Park Full" sign. Press the help button and told to use Long Stay Car Park 4. Eventually we get in and ...
