    ... to the top deck to see the final bigger gorge. Most people don't stay long as its a bit windy and it gets dark quickly but I stay for awhile just to enjoy the wind and the river.     Day 4 C Arrived Lanzhou in the morning from Xi-an and will continue to Dunhuang late afternoon. Looking out for recommend Lanzhou noodles, "Nanzhou Lamien", 兰州拉面.     ... watching everyone, it’s all cordoned off properly, and lit up at night. Usually in the summer there are loads of boats & pedalos, so quite different to see.     ... off at the end of our road a good half mile from our hotel. As expected the kids could handle walking about 10% of that distance in the rain and the heat so Tom did his mule impression and carried both kids the other 90%.  Home hot and sweaty we did what we dis at the of every day in Yangshou - we swam in the river, had Chinese food for dinner, chatted with other travelers and went to bed.
