... ready:) Of course, little did we know that the rest of the crew was looking for us and our leader, Mr. Lu called the park people to look for two American women with a Chinese boy...but we made it down. Apparently...we went the wrong way...felt pretty right to the two of us. We were pretty damn proud of ourselves, anyway. The rest of the crew got to go to the glass overhang...all set with that!

... tracking a stream which tumbled over cascades and down waterfalls. In a tourist town, there'd be a hefty entrance fee and millions of people trying to sell trinkets and snow globes every step of the way. Here, there was hardly another person in sight. I went to visit
some friends in Ningde during "Mid Autumn Festival" and "National day".

On Saturday, Mid Autumn Festival, my friends and I
had lunch together. Later that night I went out to another friends house
and shared in her and her families holiday dinner. I met her parents,
bother-in-law, sister, nephew, and cousin. After dinner we had moon cake and
watched the holiday special on T.V.

... include, even though the bigger cities may have a lot of western influences, I love-love-love that people spoke English and I could talk with them!...
Ningde has taught me to appreciate simple things like trash cans and recycle bins, people not skipping in line and pushing their way up to the front, my car, and Burger King. (I also miss Mexican food) The people here are very friendly though.
