It's been a long time coming, but the cooler weather is finally here. Yesterday, for the first time, I put on a sweater when I went out. Tim got up early Saturday morning to do a long run, but came back to bed within minutes. "Are you feeling sick?" I ask. “No, it’s pouring rain and freezing cold outside. I’m not running in that.” Well, it was raining, but freezing cold was 19 degrees – Tim has adjusted to the warmer temps.! He did run 20 ...

With the help of a volunteer who spoke some English, figured out Tim just had to put on his number and start running around the track and then out of the stadium. He figured it would take about an hour so I had a walk around and was just climbing some stairs to find a bathroom and meet Tim coming down the stairs! ...

... have now become the new normal. As Helen mentioned the loogie is one of those things. Crossing the six lane highway when cars don't stop is also now just the norm. When I run through the park watching fan dancing, kung fu or Chinese aerobics is all just part of the deal. There are a few things that still make you realize you are in a different place. When I run I often hear Chinese music being played on portable radios. When I'm running through the early morning mist ...
