From the first day we heard about family stay, we were all so nervous and scared, we just thought what have we got ourselves into! From the first day we arrived we had this warm feeling that took all that negative thoughts we had away. I was so socked of how sweet, kind and generous Chinese people were, wish all Australian people were like this! *Face with tears of joy*

When it got to the last day, ...

... Assistant Principal, English teachers and host families. Hopefully this will not be as late as last night. I'm sure the kids will start to wilt soon. Our special Coco will arrive with her bus to collect us at 9.30 in the morning to take us to Shanghai airport for our flight to Beijing. ... of the stall came over and pointed out the Phone wouldn't work in Australia and we'd have to get a different one. Too much confusion at the end of a long, hot, humid day, so David received his money back and we plodded back to the hotel. After a shower and a rest, we wandered down to the hotel's restaurant for another pleasant meal - made more fun by trying to defeat the language barrier (with the help of another woman of unknown nationality who spoke some ...

... called it an early night and went back to the hostel to pack up our things for our train journey the next day. Our next stop was Shangqiu, the city where I’m living in China. Here I will end part one of the story of our China trip, and I will continue the journey in my next post! Cheers :)

P.S. The title of this blog post is courtesy of a t-shirt we spotted in Shanghai. I got Tammy addicted to my favourite past time of late: spotting hilarious and strange English t-shirts.
