... I will pursue all avenues that present themselves to me. Making a decision of a two year commitment does not make me afraid in the least. I have learned to adapt to any possible situation and am very flexible, some might say too much so. Maybe this job in Saudi will serve the purpose as a rather attractive person might as you flirt with them to make the real person you desire come running to you to quell their jealousy...maybe not.
Thanks for reading
... Temple right about lunchtime. They explained some of the customs, etc. then we sat down and had a free lunch that the temple provides. Apparently, it is an important part of their religion to share food. After the meal, everyone cleans up and washes the dishes. We were the only Americans and so people noticed us. A women sitting next to Ray picked up his ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. followmolly... was only $25 and got a shot. The shot made my skin a little red, I think it was because of how much they wiggled my skin after the shot but the nurse was adamant about having the doctor take a look. So he prescribed another shot of something which I didn’t know. I think it was probably an antihistamine but it had to be injected into my ass. Oh well, I ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. cwienke... Chicago, I would NEVER do that! In Chicago, you can't even turn your back to your bag without worry that it will be stolen. Seriously.
So, when I walked by the secuirty shack this morning, I thought it was funny that the door was wide open and the security guard was around the corner enjoying a walk. I'm not really sure why there is even a need for a security ...
I'll have to upload my pictures of this great antiques shopping district that I went to. It's near Dapsimni Station (답심리역) on the number 5, purple line. In case you are in Seoul or ever will be :)
I love collecting historically-connected currency. Paper money. For me, it has a connection to humanity and the historical ...
... with appearances. The most important thing when a woman marries is that the man has money. Money and image reign supreme. I thought the US was bad with its emphasis on appearance and body image issues, etc., but nothing compares to Korea. It's horrendous. It's shallow. The strong drinking culture is another reflection of the masked society and people. Drinking- not only drinking, but getting absolutely *********d- is an important part of Korean social and business culture ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. truddickKorea Korea Korea!!! What an amazing place! I had such an awesome time that I thought I'd share my trip... this is the very start of my whirlwind winter adventure. Watch the other clips to see the beautiful Gangwondo countryside/coastline, SKIING and... (of course) shopping! xx
Seoul, Korea Rep. nataliek1989... especially when compared to Japan which charges ridiculous amounts for entering shrines, temples etc. All in all, it had been a thoroughly enjoyable week both at work and in private. I must admit to feeling a little nervous ahead of the new semester though, due to the new students and lack of familiar faces in the classroom. Still, I knew that within a couple of weeks the students and me would be well-acquainted, and there was the small matter of my 28th birthday to look forward to...
Seoul, Korea Rep. rich... and I like going home to my apartment, but I can't forget about all of the amazing things and people I left behind at home. Its been a week now and I'm feeling much better. I finally got all of the pictures from Jasmine and Christine from the trip, so they are uploaded here. Just remember to live your life as if every day is a gift. Always tell those you love that you love them and don't be afraid to take the chances.
Hanam, Gyeonggi, Korea Rep. heatherann... numerous bystanders, he pointed out the locations of shallow graves, and even pantomimed his murders with dummies and a rubber knife.
Months later, despite the media's waning attention, his story and image have deeply disturbed Korean consciousness, where violent crime is relatively rare. In fact, it's a credit to Korean society that he was not harassed by a blood-thirsty mob, like those who attacked the police vans carrying the pre-pubescent killers of William ...
