Oh, and one more thing. I'm not sure if you care or not, but I have another blog that I keep for my students. Basically, so they can see pictures I take, and because it's just fun. :) Oh! There are more pictures than just what are posted with in the blog. They're at the top of the page :)

Ok, Ciao

... very cheap to use. Busan's subway system is smaller, and thus MUCH easier to navigate than Seoul's. Both offer cheap transportation though. Taxi's are available in even the smaller communities, and compared to the U.S. and Europe--they are really cheap. I'm not sure on the mileage of course, but the base rate is now 2,200 won--or about $3. To get from one side of Busan (the second largest city in South Korea), I would expect to pay under $20 for sure ...

... of Mitaka to look round their gallery. An interesting if small collection of Japanese modern art. Back into Tokyo, I head to the park north of the Imperial Palace and into the Science Museum. Although it is undergoing some renovation, the permanent displays are really innovative, covering the life sciences, materials, space, etc. After a couple of hours playing with the exhibits, I head back to Nakano. My last practice in Japan for the time being ...

My First Day in Busan

... older Asian man that you read about in books) wants me to introduce myself over the loud speaker....I had to say no. I couldn't do anything. OMG it was so embarrassing. Nice impression I'm making.

As far as lunchtime goes here, it's chicken soup, kimchi (pickled things, but generally cabbage), a seafood mix (squid and octopus anyone??) and rice. Needless to say I didn't eat the seafood medly.

I got separated from my friend Anne ...

Korea of the South

... well worth every minute to escape the city for a bit. After visiting many temples and shrines in Japan we thought there would be a lot of repitition here in South Korea, but we've found that they have a unique style. Lot's of colour and their buddahs are usually clad in gold. The last shot is from the top of the hotel we're staying in. Take care y'all.

I think that Princess has developed a new and effective manor of torture....playing with the clock. After the time gain, we have once again lost an hour for the past two nights. I was awake at 4 AM (new time) and couldn't get back to sleep. When we have lost or gained hours before, mostly it has been in one swoop, like when flying to or from our destination. Oh well, we'll go through ...

Back to Busan

... at us to sit and eat at their station. We tried to walk around to see what everyone was making, but one of the women began pounding on my back. We scurried downstairs and out onto the street. Back at the hostel, I got my daily fix of Korean TV (I swear I'm getting the Korean Direct TV package when I get home). As I picked out my clothes for the evening, I realized that I forgot something in Jeju. And so started the flip flop fiasco. I've ...
