Our hotel was a lovely Chinese house and a very good choice. Our concierge remarked that they had 24h warm water in the hotel (which after living in Shanghai seems to be commonsense everywhere places but of course is not normal in a country like China). We were really early, but a whole bunch of other people came after us and it got really crowded so I was happy we were at the front. I went with maybe a fourth of the group and took the cable car down; my stomach was feeling a little icky and my knees were hurting ...

As we drove around the city, all we could see was huge boxes everywhere and trucks moving goods around. We were pretty sure this is where a lot of good are made and we could make out factories in the buildings. It was eye opening especially after all the documentaries we have seen.

We then went to another city called Hengdian, which is China's equivalent to Hollywood and Universal Studios. ...
