... beach and Bianca goes in and has a nice swim. There is a wedding taking place on the cliff top opposite and I hope the bride and groom don’t step back to far. Getting hitched on a cliff – how poetic! Bianca decides that we need to pick a special rock from the beach and take it with us, I grab a small one but of course hers is bigger. The car is so full now that I don’t think we can fit either of them in.

... the same but I give him 2 euros, he then gives us a few mandarins. I am not sure how he makes anything, it’s not often you want to pay more for something. Others come and buy and then he clutch starts the small 3 wheeler and heads off down the hill. I would love to know more about his life.

... are supposed to be magical so we have a look at them. They are mixed with religious images as well – funny that! Well not really but you know what I mean. It’s really warm and we enjoy it.

There are only a couple of shopping streets in Alberobello and the girls cover them both. It’s about 12:30 so we just sit down at a Panini place which is cheap and cheerful but is probably our blandest meal of the trip. Not bad ...

Off to buy our food at the local market, then home for a big wash day. Martina Franca is a beautiful market town, lovely baroque and roman style buildings.
