Nach etlichen Stunden Taxi Brousse Fahrt endlich zurueck in Antananarivo. Im Taxi zum Hotel lasse ich meinen kleinen Rucksack liegen, was mir eine schlaflose Nacht beschert: alle Geldkarten muessen gesperrt werden. ... township remains to be a ghetto. A fellow backpacker, Gez, and I walked through the Soweto with our tour guide. There is a lifelessness here that I found to be quite depressing. We left Washington D.C. for the long flight over both the North Atlantic and South Atlantic oceans. Halfway across there was a fuel stop in Dakar, Senegal located on the west coast of Africa. Today we went and booked our 8-day Safari to Victoria Falls. We had to drive to Pretoria to a backpackers hostel. This guy called Jacco ran the hostel, and by golly was he a strange fish. He was a largish chap with an even bigger belly, hanging out over his decrepit tracksuit pants. The trip cost us 3950 Rand, which is about 400 Euro.
