... the only eating place that was open that early (5:30pm??!!) and they invited us to sit and wait for the torrential rain to stop. Then they decided that they could offer us an early meal of local food (including rabbit stew) while we were waiting and it was delicious ...

... any food, no milk for coffee (this is the real disaster!) and no dinner. What to do you ask? Well when you are traveling abroad you have to plan ahead for these little problems. I didn't. So what to do, well if you go on the autostrassa (big highways) then the service stations are open. I am observant. Off we go and find one that is open and grab some spaghetti and sauce, bread and milk. Good to go now (as long as there is coffee!).

... Now that he is up, and he knows, I can relax.... But I bet he will fire up Milena, and we will be on our way", I found myself talking softly out loud. I was right, The next thing I heard from my pillow, was three fold. The start of the generator, the waking of the crew, and the pulling up of the anchor, all breaking the silence, and interrupting what was supposed to be a good night sleep..... I suppose three hours of hard sleep is better ...

... just a bit early for a 12:30 lunch! I saw one of the proprietors as I wandered around who said "Arrivati?" (You've arrived) and then looked att his watch.

The guides said that we would have a simple picnic lunch. What they didn't say was that it would be two courses! First, they served us flat pasta with asparagus sauce and then brought out sausage and roasted potatoes. I liked the pasta and the potatoes but the sausage was not my favorite.
